Maria Sharapova - Sports Hottie (Tennis)

Maria Sharapova

Maria Yuryevna Sharapova is a former World No. 1 Russian professional tennis player and three time Grand Slam singles champion. As of May 3, 2010, she is ranked World No. 13.

Maria Sharapova was born in 1987 to Yuri and Elena, ethnic Russians, in the town of Nyagan' in Siberia, Russia. Her parents moved from Gomel, Belarus after the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986 affected the region. When Sharapova was two, the family moved to Sochi where her father befriended Aleksandr Kafelnikov, whose son Yevgeny would go on to win two Grand Slam singles titles and become Russia's first ever World No. 1 tennis player. Aleksandr gave Sharapova her first tennis racket at the age of four, whereupon she began practicing regularly with her father in a local park.

At the age of seven, Sharapova attended a tennis clinic in Moscow run by Martina Navrátilová, who recommended professional training at the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Florida, which had previously trained players such as Andre Agassi, Monica Seles and Anna Kournikova. Sharapova and her father, neither of whom could speak English, moved to Florida in 1994. Visa restrictions prevented Sharapova's mother from joining them for two years. Sharapova's father took various low-paying jobs, including dish washing, to fund her lessons before she was admitted to the academy. In 1995, she was signed by IMG and finally enrolled in the academy.

Maria Sharapova is definitely among the hottest female athletes of all time. This Russian beauty has all what it takes to reach tennis immortality, not only because of her play but most of all because of her fantastic look. There is almost impossible to find some photo where Maria Sharapova doesn't look hot. And when I say hot I mean awesomely hot. Some say hot beyond belief, and many believe she's the hottest female tennis player today, and the only real heiress to throne left by the one and only Anna Kournikova. In any case she's a tennis girl that deserves special attention so make sure to take a good long look. After all we are talking about a real beauty.

Maria Sharapova

Maria Sharapova is really a perfect mix of hotness and elegance but don't get me wrong I could also imagine her as the wild Amazon woman, though it is much easier to picture her in fancy evening dresses, standing proudly on the red carper surrounded by dozens of photographers than with spear in her hand as she hunts wild animals. Maria Sharapova has that special sexy look in her eyes like she's saying: "I know I'm so hot". And she definitely is hot, among the hottest female athletes in history. Her long legs are probably the best part of her awesome looking body, and when matched with some sexy dress you've got the feeling you're looking at some movie icon. Well if she decides to start acting career after the tennis I would certainly look at her movies, at least for old times sake.

Lauren Jackson - Sports Hottie (Basketball)

Lauren JacksonName :Lauren Jackson
Birth date : May 11, 1981
Height : 6-5 / 1,96
Weight : 187 lbs. / 84,8 kg.
From : Australia
Basketball Position : Forward/Center

The Australian professional basketball player, Lauren Jackson, one of the hottest sports athletes. She is often called LJ or Loz. She is a forward/centre with the Seattle Storm of the WNBA, the Australian national team The Opals and, until 2006, the Canberra Capitals of the Australian WNBL.

She has won national championships in the U.S., Australia, and Russia, and a world championship as well. She is widely considered to be the best Australian female basketball player of all time and one of the best players in the world. Both Jackson's parents, Gary and Maree, represented Australia in basketball and she took up the game at the age of four.

A teenage prodigy at Murray High School, Albury, she moved to the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra as a teenager. She played for the Australian women's team, the Opals, in 1997 as a 16-year-old. She led the Australian Institute of Sport team, made up of the country's best 16- to 18 year-old players, to a premiership in the WNBL Women's National Basketball League, the Australian women's professional league, in 1998-1999 - an unprecedented achievement for a youth team. Ineligible to continue with the AIS team, she joined the other Canberra-based team, the Canberra Capitals, and led them to four titles in 1999-2000, 2001-02, 2002-03 and 2005-2006.

Lauren JacksonLauren Jackson

Jackson decided to leave Australia after the 2005-06 WNBL season. While she had huge offers from clubs in Russia, she opted instead to sign a three-year deal with a Seoul, Korea-based club Samsung Bichumi in South Korea's national league. Although she would not earn as much money in Korea as she could in Russia, her salary was higher than what she could earn in Australia. More importantly, Korea's season runs only from mid-December to early March, about half the length of the European season, and clubs in the league only play two games a week. She indicated that Korea's shorter season was the main reason that she decided to sign-up there, noting that it would likely prolong her career.

She won the Korean league's MVP award in 2007. In 2007, Jackson signed up to play alongside Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird for WBC Spartak Moscow Region in the Women's Russian A Super-league, helping it win the championship over CSKA Samara in five games. Jackson continued to play with Spartak for the 2008 and 2009 seasons, winning the title again in 2008. In the offseason of 2009, Spartak Moscow released Lauren Jackson and Lauren is now playing for the Canberra Capitals of the WNBL of the Australian league.

Jackson posed nude in an Australian magazine, Black+White, that featured Olympic athletes who were set to compete in Athens in the 2004 Summer Olympics. The expensively printed magazine/book has been produced for the last three Olympic Games and, by the 2004 edition, was considered relatively uncontroversial in Australia with its "artistic" approach to nude photography and its equal coverage of male and female athletes.

Jackson also posed for the 2005 edition of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Jackson is a fan of the Wests Tigers rugby league club with her grandfather being a former player for the Western Suburbs Magpies. Jackson works for domestic violence charities and helping children from Australia's outback get involved in sport.

Jackson is studying for a psychology degree at Lomonosov Moscow State University and will continue via correspondence from America. She wishes to work in social work after her basketball career.

Maria Kirilenko: Sport Hottie (Tennis)

Maria Kirilenko

Maria Kirilenko, or Makiri as she is called by close friends, is absolutely a hottie on the sports – Tennis. This professional tennis player was born in the Soviet Union of paternal Ukrainian heritage on January 25, 1987. Maria Kirilenko, like her good friend Maria Sharapova, she likes connecting to sports and fashion. In December 2004 she played in a tennis exhibition in Tampa, Florida to raise money for the Florida Hurricane Relief Fund.

She won her first WTA Tour Title in the China Open by beating Anna-Lena Groenefeld in the finals. Along with her friend of Maria Sharapova, she represents the new generation of a real sport hottie and a skillful female tennis player.

Maria KirilenkoMaria Kirilenko

Maria Kirilenko started showing a passion towards tennis at age 5, but it was difficult to get the practice in while she was attending school. Her father enrolled her in a tennis school at the age of seven, and hours of fierce training started to pay off as she won several tournaments. He had used to play tennis and to really enjoy it - though he could not imagine that this sport will become such an important part of his family’s life.

When Maria was twelve years old, an Honored Master of sports, Elena Brioukhovets, saw her while training. She noticed her at once - if one could pay more attention to this girl, - Elena thought, - she might show very impressive results. All the next year Elena watched Maria making progress, and then offered her to work together. From now on tennis became not only a profession but sort of a life style for Maria. A three-year program was made, and a special team was selected. Uncertain romantic dreams of having a success turned into a strategic task - to be one of the best junior tennis-players in the world.

Maria KirilenkoMaria Kirilenko

In the beginning of 2008, she went to the Australian Open and was ousted in the fourth round by Daniela Hantuchova. This is a milestone in her career because it’s her first time to reach fourth round in any Grand Slam Tournament. She competed in a Tier I event in Doha, Qatar and lost in the second round. After that, she lost four straight matches in tournaments in Dubai, Bangalore, Indian Wells and Miami. She broke her losing streak by winning a Tier IV event in Estoril. She won her fourth WTA title in Barcelona where she face Martinez-Sanchez in the finals.

Before there was Anna Kournikova and these days there are Maria Sharapova, Elena Dementieva, Tatiana Glovin and many more. It seems most of the tennis sport hotties these days are from Russia. Although, Maria Kirilenko may not be the best Russian player that has come along but she sure can make a claim to being one of the hottest players coming out of Russia.

Danica Patrick - Sport Hottie (Auto Racing)

The first hottie of the sport Auto Racing, Danica Patrick is a petite speedster who has the potential to dominate race circuits across America. Her combination of beauty and ability makes Danica one hot commodity.

Born in Beloit, Wisconsin, on March 25, 1982, Danica Sue Patrick grew up in a loving household with parents T.J. and Bev and sister Brooke. Danica's need for speed was not obvious from the get-go as, like many young girls, she loved to play with Barbie dolls as a child.

She began go-karting in 1992 t the age of 10, however, Danica got a glimpse into a world she would come to love. She accompanied her sibling on a trip to a go-karting lesson and quickly fell in love with sitting behind the wheel of a speedy vehicle. While sister Brooke soon abandoned racing, Danica was hooked, and she soon joined the World Karting Association (WKA).

She moved to England at age 16 in order to advance her racing career. Patrick raced in Formula Ford and Formula Vauxhall, earning a second-place in Britain's Formula Ford Festival, the highest finish by a woman in the event.

Danica Patrick became the first female driver to lead the race at Indianapolis 500. Patrick overcame two crucial errors to finish fourth in the race, the same position in which she started. Her car stalled in the pits about halfway through the 500-mile race, dropping her to the middle of the field. Shortly after, Patrick spun during a caution period, causing a four-car accident. However Danica managed to lead the race twice more, only to be passed by Dan Wheldon with seven laps to go. She placed 3rd in the 2009 Indianapolis 500, which was both a personal best for her at the track and the highest finish by a woman in the event's history.
